Even as rumors circulate that Las Vegas could turn the lights back on at casinos June 1st, Atlantic City casinos will remain dark for a bit longer. Three California Casinos Open
Despite a plea from the governor, there are now three southern California casinos open. The Morongo Casino near Cabazon, the Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, and Tortoise Rock Casino. The three Tribal gaming properties plan to operate their casinos, while the Morongo Casino will also be opening their hotel and restaurant. A leading economic expert in Nevada has determined that it could take up to three years for Vegas economy to fully return to where it was before the Coronavirus outbreak. June 1st appears to be the date set for a Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casino reopening in Connecticut. Both properties have been shut down for two months due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Both casinos issued statements which noted the properties would only be catering to residents of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
