The long awaited reopening announcement about Las Vegas casinos could come on Tuesday, May 26th. Governor Steve Sisolak has a scheduled press conference to reveal his plans for the next phase of the state’s reopening plan from his “Roadmap to Recovery”. Even as rumors circulate that Las Vegas could turn the lights back on at casinos June 1st, Atlantic City casinos will remain dark for a bit longer. Despite a plea from the governor, there are now three southern California casinos open. The Morongo Casino near Cabazon, the Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, and Tortoise Rock Casino. A leading economic expert in Nevada has determined that it could take up to three years for Vegas economy to fully return to where it was before the Coronavirus outbreak.
