Indiana Sportsbooks to be Ready for NFL Season

Major gaming companies have announced that they expect to open a total of eight Indiana sportsbooks next month, with hopes of taking bets ahead of the NFL regular season games. Ameristar Casino East Chicago expects to launch sports betting on September 1, and Horseshoe Hammond Casino expects to open its sportsbook on September 4, the casinos’ operators said in press releases. Oregon Casino Sets Sports Betting Launch Date

While the Oregon State Lottery is has been busy with its own sports betting launch plans, a spokesman recently conceded that the agency will not meet its goal of starting up in time for opening of the NFL season.
