The Department of Justice lost their case against New Hampshire. A case which centered around their misguided decision to enforce their “opinion” on the Federal Wire Act. An opinion which one judge has already said is not correct. But apparently, that doesn’t mean they don’t have plans for Wire Act enforcement. One would think that the highest law enforcement agency in the country would respect the decision of a federal judge, but that doesn’t seem to be the route the DoJ is taking. Less Than 30% of Voters Favor Colorado Sports Betting

Gambling on sporting events will be paraded out to voters this fall, but a new BettingUSA.com survey has found that only 29% are in favor of Colorado sports betting. The survey was conducted via Google between June 2nd and 5th of this year and collected 5,000 responses from people age 18 and older who were located in the state. The survey was able to identify that only 29% of voting-age Coloradans would approve the legalization of sports betting if the referendum were held today, while 31.5% would oppose the measure Almost 40% of respondents are undecided. “These results are not…

New Jersey Sports Betting Payoff

A year ago, the New Jersey sports betting fight was handed a victory by the Supreme Court, with the justices deeming the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) unconstitutional. Since then, New Jersey and six other states have provided citizens with what they said they wanted in 2011 when voters approved a sports betting referendum. In the first three months of 2019, more than $1 billion has been legally wagered across the state. Sports Betting in New York Approved

Gambling regulators have approved regulations to allow sports betting in New York. The new rules will allow wagers on sporting events at Rivers Casino, Resorts World Catskills, Tioga Downs and Del Lago Casino. Now that regulations are finally in place, each gaming property can apply for licenses this summer, and hopefully be up and running in time for the NFL season this fall.
