Paysafecard grows international presence with Australia expansion

Australia 4iGaming Business – Prepaid payment provider paysafecard group has expanded its operations further by launching its services in Australia in what is the firm’s first venture in Oceania.

Companies and consumers in the country will now be able to access the provider’s prepaid payment method for the internet, a system that does not require a bank account or credit card.

In addition, paysafecard has partnered with electronic payment solutions provider epay and bespoke technology specialist Touch Networks in order to launch with a distribution network of more than 12,000 outlets in Australia.

The firm said that further co-operations with sales and distribution partners would follow in the coming weeks.

“We enter the Australian market with high expectations as we see a great potential for our prepaid payment solution,” paysafecard’s chief executive officer, Michael Mueller, said.

“The majority of consumers in Australia still rely on cash. Many Australians also have safety concerns when it comes to paying online. This makes our product particularly interesting for Australia as customers can use paysafecard as safely, easily and fast as cash.”

“Most companies that offer prepaid products in Australia charge high fees to the customers. Paysafecard is different as the customer doesn’t have to pay any fees at all.”
