Poker pro admits running high-stakes international sports book

Vadim Trincher, 52, a professional poker player, copped Wednesday to running a high-stakes sports book that catered to multimillionaires and billionaires in the United States, Russia and Ukraine. He admitted that he took bets, mostly on soccer games, from gamblers in the U.S. and Europe.

He could receive up to 20 years in prison but his plea deal with the feds calls for a sentence of 21 to 27 months.
