UK begins consultation on gambling regulations changes

UK London u.k.Gambling Intelligence – The UK Gambling Commission has published proposed changes to regulations governing gambling operations, with wide-ranging implications for operators and suppliers, and poker networks in particular.

The proposed changes are slated to be introduced in 2014 when all UK facing operators and suppliers will be required to hold a British licence, and are subject to a three month consultation.

Under the proposed amendments, both gaming software suppliers and consumer facing operators will be required to hold a Gambling Commission licence to transact with British consumers, irrespective of where the operator or technology is based.
