The new GBets.co.za website will mark the firm’s first venture into online sports betting, after having already established itself as a land-based operator of bingo and casino venues in the country.

GBets.co.za will offer a range of pre-match and in-play wagering opportunities for domestic and international sports events to online and mobile players.

The new betting brand will be supported by an extensive media campaign in South Africa, with G-Bets adverts running online, across national television broadcasters and in daily newspapers.

“The sports betting market in South Africa is already massive,” Goldrush Group chief executive officer Mergan Naidoo said. “It is developing by the day and we recognise that it has huge potential for future growth.

“By launching G-Bets we are able to boost our product offering into online sports betting and provide our players with the opportunity to interact with our brand at any time – and at their convenience.”

Mark Bosman, co-founder and chief commercial officer of BetTech Gaming, added: “With an established name and loyal customer base behind it, G-Bets is certain to be a popular destination with South African sports bettors.”
