iGaming Business – Iceland Bingo, the online bingo venture by UK frozen food store chain Iceland, is to launch a new television marketing campaign due to run from September 25 until November 3. Although details of the campaign are yet to be confirmed, marketing experts believe it will follow other online bingo marketing projects and target women. For its frozen food store adverts, Iceland is best known for its “That’s why mums go to Iceland” tagline and “Mums love it” original slogan – both of which could feature in a women-focused television campaign. iGaming Business – British server-based gaming specialist Inspired Gaming has confirmed igaming operator and platform provider Microgame as its latest partner in Italy. Under the agreement, Inspired will supply virtual sports to Microgame’s online, mobile and land-based platforms. Microgame currently serves as a content provider to over 30 operators Italy. As a result of the new deal, it will have the rights to distribute Inspired’s virtual sports to all of its business-to-business partners. Venture Beat – Real Deal Interactive is coming out of stealth today as a mobile-first social casino gaming company. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company has created a mobile gaming platform that it is licensing to third-party game publishers. Its first game, Lucky Loot Casino slot machine game, is live on the Google Play store now. The idea is to create a platform that larger online gambling and social gaming companies can use to enter the social casino game business. Las Vegas Review-Journal – Nevada’s second online poker website launched Thursday. So now the market is over-saturated. Time will tell if Ultimate Poker, which has been accepting wagers since April 30, and WSOP.com can generate enough players within the confines of Nevada’s borders to co-exist. Meanwhile, at least three other real money websites — 888 Poker, Treasure Island and the South Point — could go live by year’s end. Nevada’s relatively small customer base isn’t changing. L.A. Times – Los Angeles police arrested 23 people on misdemeanor charges in a raid on a Van Nuys Internet cafe suspected of hosting an illegal gambling operation, the LAPD said Friday. Officers from the Van Nuys vice unit served a search warrant Thursday at the Talk & Win Internet cafe on Sherman Way after getting an anonymous tip that gambling was taking place there, the LAPD said in a statement.
