Vegas Face Masks Now Required for Some Games

Players visiting Sin City certainly don’t want to hear this, but the powers that be at the Nevada Gaming Control Board now say Las Vegas face masks must be worn at certain games that do not separate players with plexiglass. Bummer.

The order comes down as Nevada has seen an explosion of new Coronavirus cases, and it adds to the existing health and safety policies for all relevant venues. It is no longer a matter of choice for guests given the proved effectiveness of masks. So, if you choose not to wear a mask it may be better to stay home.

While everyone has their own personal reason for not wanting to comply, for the casinos in Clark County, Nevada, it is a mandated law. As more Las Vegas casinos reopen during the pandemic, it is wise to take precautions by making reservations or limiting the number of players in a given area, usually up to just three for a blackjack table, only four for roulette, and a mere six standing around a craps table.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board, also known as the State Gaming Control Board, is a Nevada state governmental agency involved in the regulation of gaming and law enforcement of Nevada gaming laws throughout the state, along with the Nevada Gaming Commission.
