Palazzo Las Vegas Closes Hotel Until Christmas
With tourism down, a pandemic still raging and the holidays approaching, The Palazzo Las Vegas has decided to close their hotel until at least the 23rd of December. The Sands Corporation said the move will “better reflect occupancy patterns”, and that their guests are still welcome to stay at their sister property, The Venetian. The Palazzo has already shut down hotel operations during the week in July. However, restaurants, bars and shops at the Grand Canal and on the resort’s casino floor remain open. Golden Nugget New Jersey Granted Online License
The state Casino Control Commission has given a license for Golden Nugget New Jersey. They also conditionally approved a merger of Golden Nugget with an existing special purpose acquisition company already traded on the Nasdaq. Federal regulators must still approve the merger before it becomes final. The first Native American casino in Sin City will have to wait a bit longer as Virgin Las Vegas has announced they will delay their opening. Although Virgin owns the hotel, their casino will be run by Mohegan Gaming.
