Scotty Nguyen & Tom McEvoy to Poker Hall Of Fame

poker chipsCard Player – Tom McEvoy and Scotty Nguyen will become the 45th and 46th individuals to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. The announcement came Sunday from the Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council. The Poker Hall of Fame is owned by Caesars Entertainment Corp.

As has become tradition, McEvoy and Nguyen will be inducted officially on Sunday, November 3 at 5:00 p.m. at the Rio Las Vegas a day before the 2013 World Series of Poker main event final table gets underway.

At 68 years of age, McEvoy was the oldest among the finalists. He has four WSOP wins over this decades of play. He won the 1983 WSOP main event. Over the years, he has also written numerous books and articles on the game of poker.

One of the most recognizable players in poker history, the Vietnam-born Nguyen won the 1998 WSOP main event and went on to capture four more bracelets, including the $50,000 Players Championship in 2008. The 51-year-old has around $11.7 million in career earnings thanks to a massive 272 cashes. He also renowned for his table talk.
