Superdome Renamed for Gambling Company

An agreement has been reached which will find the New Orleans Superdome renamed for an American gambling company. This is the first time ever that a stadium in the NFL will be named for a business conducting sports betting.

The Louisiana Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, the House and Senate panel approved the deal this summer, renaming the home of the New Orleans Saints the Caesars Superdome.

The 20 year agreement which has the Superdome renamed is worth $138 million dollars, and the money will go to the Saints organization. The team said that they will invest the money into renovations and improvements to the domed stadium.

It should be mentioned that the NFL’s Miami Dolphins do play their home games in Hard Rock stadium. However, according to NFL sources that deal has no connection to their casinos.
