Sports betting at land based casinos has been legal for a while now. But Michigan online gambling, along with mobile sports betting, could be up and running before the end of the year.

Internet casinos, along with online poker and other online games, have to wait until commercial and tribal casinos receive licenses.

The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules will effectively green light the new regulations to allow for online sports betting and casino games at a meeting on Tuesday.their next meeting.

“Everybody wants to get this thing going,” Lucido, of Macomb County’s Shelby Township, told The Associated Press. “This is something that’s long overdue at this point. It’s being done in other states. We’re losing opportunity costs.”
