Horseshoe Las Vegas Officially Opens

The transformation of Bally’s Casino to the Las Vegas Horseshoe is now complete! Yes, we welcomed the rebranded property to the center of the Las Vegas Strip in our gambling news video back in December. But today is Caesar’s “official” opening, as they welcome poker legend Doyle Brunson, who played at the original Horseshoe, to the ceremony. Even better, Jack Binion, son of Horseshoe brand founder Benny Binion, was there for the festivities as well.

Senior Vice President and General Manager of Horseshoe, Jason Gregorec, shared his excitement about bringing the Las Vegas Horseshoe back to center of the Strip, where it all began more than 70 years ago. Gregorec emphasized that the Horseshoe is a legendary, iconic brand, and the property’s focus remains on the gambler, just like it was on day one. The property offers amenities such as a steak restaurant named after Binion, M.Y. Asia by Chef Martin Yan, the World Series of Poker Hall of Fame Poker Room, and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen, which will be added in the summer.

During the ceremony, Caesars executives, including CEO Tom Reeg, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors Gary Carano, and President and Chief Operating Officer Anthony Carano, addressed the crowd, which included hundreds of well-wishers and 10 showgirls dressed in the original costumes of the property’s “Jubilee!” show. Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson also welcomed the Las Vegas Horseshoe back to Sin City, noting that the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road sees 90,000 cars pass through each day, making it one of the busiest corners in the world.
