The Athletics have officially named Circa Resort as their first founding partner ahead of the Major League Baseball team’s planned relocation to Las Vegas in 2028. The multiyear sponsorship agreement secures Circa Resort as the official resort sponsor of the franchise, while Circa Sports will serve as the team’s official sports betting partner.
The landmark deal marks a significant commercial step for the organization as it prepares for its transition to southern Nevada. Team executives emphasized that securing Circa Resort as a premiere local partner aligns with their broader goal of integrating into the regional entertainment landscape. Franchise president Marc Badain noted that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating unique fan experiences, adding that representatives worked closely to establish a comprehensive package of game-day activations and digital integrations.
Under the terms of the agreement, Circa Resort will receive prominent branding, hospitality opportunities, and exclusive marketing rights connected to the franchise. Promotional initiatives are expected to connect fans directly to property offerings, including the venue’s massive outdoor pool amphitheater and expansive sports wagering operations.
Leadership behind the gaming venue, including Chief Executive Officer Derek Stevens, expressed strong enthusiasm for supporting the professional baseball club as it establishes permanent roots on the Las Vegas Strip. Property leadership indicated that entering the agreement early establishes a firm presence alongside major league sports in the market.
The partnership represents the first of several founding corporate agreements expected to be finalized as construction progresses on the team’s planned $1.5 billion stadium along Las Vegas Boulevard. The franchise anticipates securing additional corporate sponsorships across key industries, though securing Circa Resort early offers a distinct local foundation.
Overall commercial interest from regional businesses remains strong, with team officials continuing discussions for primary ballpark naming rights and secondary corporate alignments. Industry analysts suggest that establishing ties with established local gaming operations will bolster community engagement and local fan conversion as the venue opening approaches. The team is currently completing temporary play arrangements before making its official stadium debut in 2028.
